AVKUL ERP comparisons and alternatives

Comparison guides

Honest guides comparing AVKUL with other school software. AVKUL's comparison with spreadsheets and separate apps is at /compare/.

Every guide states published prices with the date we checked them, links to the vendor's own page, and says when the other product is the better choice.

How we picked and compared

We shortlisted school software that Indian schools commonly consider, and read each vendor's own website and pricing page on 27 October 2026. We compared what each product actually is, its published prices, and the modules each vendor describes.

Disclosure: AVKUL ERP is our own product, built and run by D&D Technology. It is listed here alongside the alternatives, with its limits stated. There are no affiliate links on this page and no vendor paid to be included.

  • Only vendors with an official website we could read were included; facts come from those pages.
  • Prices are the vendor's published prices on the date checked. Where none is published we say "Not publicly listed".
  • We did not use review-site ratings, star scores or customer counts, because we cannot verify them.
  • Each option has a "best for" note, including when our own product is not the right choice.

The shortlist

Three options. Note that they are not all the same kind of product: two are school ERPs and one is a classroom platform.

Which one should you choose?

Fedena is the better choice for a school that wants an established ERP with a large module catalogue, is comfortable with a yearly plan, and may want source code or custom work later.

Teachmint is the better choice when the goal is smarter classrooms: interactive boards and AI help for teachers. It answers a different question from a school ERP. Many schools need both: a classroom platform for teaching and an ERP like AVKUL for admissions, fees, transport and HR.

AVKUL is the better choice for a private K-12 school, small school group, college or coaching centre in India that wants admissions, fees, transport, attendance, exams, HR and a parent app in one system at a published monthly rupee price. If your main goal is smart-classroom hardware, buy that separately; AVKUL is the ERP behind it.

How to decide in one week

  • Write down the three jobs the software must do every day, and the one report you need every week.
  • Shortlist two products at most, and ask each vendor for a demo on your own sample data, not a generic tour.
  • Ask each vendor, in writing, for the full yearly cost: plan, users, add-ons, payment or transaction fees, setup and support.
  • Check how you can export your data if you leave, and in which format.
  • Run one real week of work in the trial or demo account before you commit to a yearly plan.

Switching tools without losing data

The best time to move is at the start of a term or academic year, but a mid-year move works if you fix an opening date for fees and attendance.

  1. Pick the opening date. Usually the start of a term. Fees and attendance before it stay in the old system.
  2. Export student and staff lists. Students with class, section, roll number and parents' phones; staff with roles.
  3. Set up the academic year. Classes, sections, subjects, timetable and fee structures in AVKUL.
  4. Import and verify. Import students and staff, then let class teachers check their own lists.
  5. Bring in fee balances. Enter pending fees per student as opening balances.
  6. Roll out the parent app. Invite parents class by class, and announce the switch on the old channel.

Data export

Can you export student and fee data if you leave?

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best school ERP for a small business in India?

It depends on what the school needs most. For a full ERP at a published monthly rupee price, AVKUL (our product) fits. For an established ERP with a large catalogue on yearly plans, Fedena is a strong option. For smart classrooms, Teachmint is a classroom platform rather than an ERP.

Is AVKUL ERP independent from this list?

No. AVKUL ERP is our own product, made by D&D Technology. We say so at the top of the page and list its limits next to the alternatives.

How current are the prices?

All prices were checked on each vendor's official website on 2026-10-27. Vendors change prices, so confirm on their site before buying. Where a vendor does not publish a price, we write "Not publicly listed".

Does AVKUL have a free plan?

The V Learning video app (My Education Video App) is free for your school, ₹0 forever. The ERP plans start at ₹499 a month.
